Step 3: Installing DigiTV Version 3.5

Please insert the installation CD in to your CD/DVD drive to start the installer.

If the installer doesn’t appear after 30 seconds, please open up either Windows Explorer or My Computer and then run the program Setup.exe (or /Setup.exe) in your CD ROM folder to start the installation program manually.

Start the Installation After a short wait the InstallShield program will initialise and you will then be shown a screen similar to this one. Simply follow the instructions on screen until you are told that the computer is ready to have the DigiTV Hardware installed. At this point, please do not check the Shutdown option as the USB version doesn’t require a restart for the installation to work correctly. Lastly, click on the finish button to complete the software installation.

Step 4: Plugging in your µDigiTV USB Slave device for the first time

Firstly we need to ensure that the µDigiTV USB Slave device has an aerial feed connected to it and thus please do one of the following:-



Plug in a dedicated aerial feed to the female tuner connector (furthest left connector on the unit), which is ideally coming from a multiple output booster / aerial distribution device.

Or



Connect the supplied 1m aerial lead's female end to the pass through on one of your other DigiTV devices (i.e. the male UHF tuner connection you will find on the back of our DigiTV PCI/USB devices), and then connect the male end of the aerial lead to the female connection on your µDigiTV USB Slave unit (i.e. furthest left connector on the unit).



The next step is to take the USB cable provided and insert the small square USB connector in to the socket on the furthest right of the µDigiTV unit. Please then take the other end of the USB lead and connect it to a free USB 2.0 port on your PC.

When you have finished making these connections your computer will come up with a screen detailing that new hardware has been found and that it is ready to be installed.

Select the option to Install from a list or specific location, and then press Next.

Now direct the operating system to search the DigiTV/drivers directory on the installation CD using the Browse option that appears on screen. Now click Next.

When the driver compatibility screen appears, please choose to Continue Anyway.

Now that the hardware and software have been successfully installed, please double click the 'DigiTV iTuner' desktop icon to get started.
