Installation

Step 2: Start Up the PC

When you switch your PC back on and allow Windows to load, the operating system will detect that you have new hardware installed and attempt to load the drivers for it.

Unpack the DigiTV installation disk and place it into the CD ROM drive on your PC.

The exact dialog boxes you see will depend on the Operating System you have (the screen captures shown here were taken using Windows 2000), but the installation is similar for each.

After a short wait, you will see the dialog box below appear (or something similar).

Then another short wait, followed by the dialog box on the right:

Click Next.

Follow the instructions to Search for a suitable driver, and then specify the CD ROM drive as the location for the driver files.

When Windows finds the DigiTV driver, click Next to install the driver (ignore the box titled "Digital Signature not found' by clicking Yes).

To complete installation of the video driver, click the Finish button.

You will be asked to go repeat the last step once more in order to install the NebAudio/MPEG-II drivers. This installation should be quicker the second time around.

Once this is done, you need to install the DigiTV software so please move on to Installing the Software.
