Timer Recordings

Notify if Timers present when shutting down

Selecting this option will ensure that a warning dialog box is shown if you choose to fully shutdown your PC and you still have timers left to run. This option will not be displayed if you enter Standby/Hibernate mode as DigiTV features wake up capabilities for those machines which support it.

Shut Down when Last Timer Expires

Turning on this option will instruct DigiTV to shut down your PC once your last scheduled recording has completed.

If this option is enabled and your last timer ends, a warning message will be displayed for several seconds notifying you that DigiTV is about to shutdown your PC, and asking if you would like it to do so. If the user doesn't choose to cancel the shutdown within this time period, DigiTV will then shutdown the PC.

Instant (OTR) Recordings

Use Automatic/Channel Naming

When recording a file using instant OTR (One Touch Recording), DigiTV needs to know what to call the file to which it will record. The name used is decided by the settings in this section. If you choose to name the files automatically, they will be named according to the name of the programme being recorded at the time.

If you choose to name the programmes by Channel Name, the recordings will be named according to the name of the channel on which they are currently being transmitted.

Split recordings by programme name

You can elect to split the recorded file by programme name. In this case, each programme will be given its own recorded file and split when the next programme is due to start.

Shut Down when OTR Stops

You can instruct DigiTV to shutdown your PC when an OTR (One Touch Recording) has ended, by simply checking the relevant option in this section.

If this option is enabled and your OTR ends, a warning message will be displayed for several seconds notifying you that DigiTV is about to shutdown your PC, and asking if you would like it to do so. If the user doesn't choose to cancel the shutdown within this time period, DigiTV will then shutdown the PC.
