The General Settings Tab - Sleep/Shutdown

The Sleep Timer

You can protect against you falling asleep in front of DigiTV and leaving it switched on all night by using the Sleep Timer. This means that if no user input (including mouse movement) is detected within the specified time period, then DigiTV will perform the appropriate action.

To set the timer, make sure the Use Sleep Timer box is checked and select whether you want the DigiTV to simply exit or shut down the machine when the timer expires. The length of time that DigiTV will wait (in hours) can be entered in the box at the bottom.

Because this feature will be used only rarely, DigiTV will always start up assuming that you don't want to use the Sleep Timer.

Remote Control

Using the power button on the remote control you can elect to have DigiTV start up in Full Screen mode when it is sleeping in the system tray.

The power button can also be used to shut down the application or the PC in various ways. If you choose to allow the remote to sleep/hibernate/shutdown the PC, you will automatically be asked if you're sure this is what you want to do. If the remote is used to put the PC to sleep or hibernate it, DigiTV will automatically start up on re-activation.
